The MCDecarie Warranty  

Our jewelry is handcrafted and designed to be strong and durable. They are all covered by the MCDécarie Warranty: broad and complete coverage defined in 4 categories. In order to offer you a pleasant shopping experience with confidence, our sizing guarantee policy and our satisfaction guarantee ensure that your jewel will suit you. Since we are convinced of the quality of our jewelry, they are also covered by a full 90-day warranty as well as a limited lifetime warranty.

Full 90-day Warranty

Our jewels are guaranteed against any defect, breakage, premature wear, loss of a pearl or stone, for a period of 90 days after taking possession of your jewel.  



In the event that the jewel has visibly been damaged by accidental impact or misuse, the warranty does not apply. Only jewelry and materials provided by MCDécarie are covered. The stones or materials provided by the customer during the makeovers are not covered by the 90-day warranty. Repairs are not covered by this warranty.


Limited Lifetime Warranty

Any piece of jewelry sold 500$CAD or more is guaranteed for life against any manufacturing defect. If your jewel has a breakage or a problem, please return it to us in order to assess the situation. If the problem is due to a manufacturing defect, it will be repaired free of charge.


In order to benefit from this warranty, please bring your jewel to us every 2 years for a rigorous inspection free of charge. We will take the opportunity to do a free cleaning. This inspection allows us to detect any problem or premature wear and to carry out preventive repair or reinforcement, if necessary.

Examples of issues covered by the Limited Lifetime Warranty:

- Breakage of solder.  

- Detachment of a leather cord from the clasp.

- Split ring.



Please note that the Limited Lifetime Warranty only applies to manufacturing defects. Wear and accidental breakage are therefore not covered; this type of repair can be done without problem, for a basic fee. The chains of necklaces, pendants or bracelets being highly prone to snags, they are not covered by the Limited Lifetime Warranty. Pearls, stones and diamonds are not covered by our Limited Lifetime Warranty. For complete coverage of your stones or diamonds, it is best to hold an adequate insurance policy. Normal wear and tear is not covered by the Limited Lifetime Warranty. For example, silver jewelry can tarnish and white gold jewelry can lose its rhodium coating over time. Only jewelry and materials provided by MCDécarie are covered. The stones or materials provided by the customer during the makeovers are not covered by this warranty.


Satisfaction Guarantee

Your satisfaction is our ultimate goal! In order to ensure that your jewel meets your expectations, we offer the possibility of exchanging or modifying your jewel.


Non-personalized items

It is possible to exchange your item. Return it within 30 days of purchase. The jewelry must be returned in the same condition and without any signs of wear (micro-scratches). Return shipping costs are at your expense. You can then choose an item of the same value or request an equivalent store credit.


Personalized and bespoke items

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, contact us to resolve the issue. Unless there is a manufacturing defect or error on our part, we do not offer refunds or exchanges on these items, but we always find a solution so that you have a jewel to your liking.


Guarantee of sizes

We guarantee all our sizes*, whether for a ring, a bracelet or a length of chain. If you receive a different size than what you ordered, we will make the adjustment or exchange at our expense. Return it within 30 days to take advantage of this guarantee.

When possible, we recommend that you come and see us in store to have your ring, chain or bracelet size taken. We will thus have the opportunity to advise you and validate the choice of size with you. We always advise you to try on your jewelry a few days before making a size adjustment. Despite all these good precautions, it may happen that your jewelry requires an adjustment for optimal comfort.  


For sizes taken and validated on site at our Oka boutique:

The first size adjustment is free! You have 30 days to bring us your jewelry and request an adjustment, free of charge.  


The scaling will be at the customer's expense if it results from a change of finger/idea or if the 30-day period has passed.

For sizes ordered without having been validated on site at our Oka boutique:

For jewelry ordered directly online, by phone, at a point of sale or at our boutique, but without the person who will wear the jewelry being present, sizing is not included. However, some adjustments are included and free of charge. Click here to view our price list.

*Ring sizes must be measured with a professional US or Canadian size ring sizer. Sizes are accurate to ⅛ size. Bracelet sizes can be checked with a tape measure and are generally the inside circumference. For bangle bracelets, the sizes correspond to the length of the band inside. Sizes are accurate to ⅛ inch. The chain lengths correspond to the total length, clasp included. They are accurate to ¼ inch.
